Seventy-five years ago today.

and I think most of those people would be horrified if they knew what their children and grandchildren were “protesting.”
“we put up with years of rationing and sacrificing for the good of our country, and you’re screaming because you can’t get a haircut or stuff your fat fucking faces at a restaurant?”

I’m really starting to wonder what your future great- grandson ttyymmnn will be posting about. Imagine what the future “seventy-five years ago today” post will look like. I’d bet it won’t be as happy as this one.

We still have newspapers, but we’re using them to wipe our asses.

Thought experiment...were we fighting the Germans or the Nazis? The Chinese Communist Party would like to know....

Yes.
Okay, but in seriousness, we fought Nazis. It just so happened most of them were German. Were most Germans Nazis ? I have no idea what percentage of the population were party members. Also, remember half the country was Nazis until they became Communists.
It’s actually funny you mention this because I’m watching the documentary Rusty Vandura posted yesterday about the German U32 Submarine. 200 years ago England was our enemy, now they are one of our closest allies. 75 years ago the Germans and Japanese were our enemies, now they are allies. One thing that’s constant is life is things always change.

I understand the rhetorical nature of the question, but there’s a lot to unpack here. We didn’t inter German American citizens, and German POWs who were sent back to the US lived on American farms and ate at American dinner tables, while black US soldiers had to eat from the back door of the restaurant kitchen. So, yeah.

Probably something like:
“ 75 years ago today: the 3rd incel brigade of the 5th pepe battalion enters Seattle after defeating the remaining liberal defenders”

“incel brigade”
Sums up the movement indeed.
